CS Kagwe’s chopper fails to take off after developing mechanical problems

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe and his Team from the Health ministry were on Monday forced to abandon a chopper which they we using in Kericho county and drive back to Nairobi on road after the copter developed  mechanical problem.

The 5Y-PKI registered chopper which was to fly Kagwe and Health director general Patrick Amoth back to Nairobi failed to take off after the pilot attempted to re ignite it multiple times, according to sources on the ground.

CS Kagwe and team had toured Kericho sub county to assess the level of Covid-19 preparedness and measures in place to ensure further spread of the disease are curbed.

He further confirmed that 14 health workers have succumbed to Covid-19 and least 768 medics have tested positive for the virus as of August 10 with 363 of the infected medics being female while 405 are male.
