National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has come out guns blazing, condemning the president over his leadership style in the Jubile Party, terming it dictorial.
The speaker who for the first time appeared to speak from different language from President Uhuru, scathingly attacked the Head of State over his leadership style that has led to the death of Jubilee party,a one time formidable and popular political party.
Speaking during an interview with KTN speaker Muturi hit out at the Jubilee administration for what he termed as intimidation to its members and not following the party’s constitution when it comes to solving disputes.
Muturi, who hails from the President Kenyatta’s vote rich Mt Kenya has declared his interest in the presidency, he has been crisscrossing the region seeking for support and endorsement as the nations prepares for the bruising 2022 battle.
Muturi’s taking on the head of state, has further exposed the cracks in the Jubilee party, wrangles which are far from being solved.
Muturi said the party would have informed the affected members, notify him and the Senate counterpart and give the members time to defend themselves.
“You don’t just wake up and say we are throwing you out. You are out in the cold. That is a dictatorship,” he said.
Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali, Sen. Murkomen, Sen. Irungu, Sen. Kihika were among DP Ruto’s allies who were removed from their leadership roles in parliament and Senate due to their association with the Deputy President.
Speaker Muturi’s utterances comes a month after political heavyweights, opinion leaders and influential business personeel from the Meru region met and endorsed ODM leader Raila presidency’s in a move seen to have been sponsored by the President.
