Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi has come out to clear the air, about his relationship with ODM leader Raila Odinga maintaining that no one owes him any political debt, not even the former premier, having worked together under the now disabanded NASA coalition.
Speaking on Tuesday during the Interview with KISS FM, the ANC leader clarified that Raila Owes him no political debt, clarifying that that there is nothing like political debts, in politics generally, he added that people come together politically with an agenda through shared ideologies which shouldn’t be seen as some sort of a payback in future. “I don’t believe in the idea of ‘political debts’. Raila owes me no debt politically. I am seeking the votes of all Kenyans on the basis of my economic recovery policies,” he said.
The ANC leader is campaigning on the platform of reviving and growing the economy, he has been crisscrossing parts of Kenya, selling his candidacy and his agenda to the Kenyan people as the race to replace President Uhuru Kenyatta hots up.
Mudavadi urged fellow aspirants and leaders to seek the mandate of Kenyans on the basis of what they will do for them and not selling fear to the electorate adding that every Kenyan has a right to live and do business in any part of the country without intimidation and feeling like an outsider. He his also campaigning on the plartform of a ‘peaceful coexistence among communities in Kenya’ with his clarion call being peace and more peace in Kenya as the nation heads to the elections.
Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Kanu Chairman Gedion Moi, ODM leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Samoei Ruto have all indicated their interest in vying for the 2022 Presidency.,
